Out-of-State Attorneys' Examination

Maryland is one of a small number of states that offer an abbreviated bar exam—the Out-of-State Attorneys' Exam. The exam is for some experienced attorneys licensed to practice in another state. Rule 13 of the Rules Governing Admission to the Bar, Maryland Rules, Annotated Code of Maryland, defines which lawyers qualify to take this exam.
