Request a Public Interest Law Discount

Shemer Bar Review wishes to recognize the hard work and financial sacrifice made by those lawyers entering public interest service. One way we can do this is by offering a tuition discount (up to $500) to students electing Shemer Bar Review to assist them with their preparation for the Maryland bar exam.

To qualify for this Public Interest Law Discount, you must:

  • Be a member of your law school’s public interest law association (by whatever name it goes), and
  • Be enrolled in a Shemer LIVE course (either In-Class or Online) having paid a minimum seat deposit of $95; and
  • Be employed, or have a documented commitment of employment, in a public interest law sector job (proof required).

    Terms and conditions:

  • Public interest law sector employment may include, but is not limited to, employment with a registered charitable organization, a public or private non-profit organization focused on public interest law, employment with the Legal Aid Bureau, a State’s Attorney’s Office or an Office of the Public Defender. Clerking for a judge or other government employment does not qualify as public interest law sector employment.
  • Shemer Bar Review reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, the definition of public interest law sector employment and qualification for this discount offer.
  • Shemer Bar Review, in its sole discretion, determines the amount of the discount, but it may not exceed $500.00.
  • This discount offer may not be combined with any other discounts or incentives offered by Shemer Bar Review.
  • This discount is not available to students whose tuition is being paid in whole or in part by a third-party.
